Your next step after AmeriCorps may be a big one – going to college, starting a new career, launching your own business. Often what prevents us from achieving our goals is figuring out how to manage our time, energy, and stress, so we can keep taking steps towards those goals. Jemia, an AmeriCorps alum, has literally written the book on how to do this and has done it herself. In this workshop she will introduce you to simple tools, activities, and resources you can use to fit your goals into your already busy life.

Jemia is the owner of Fit Your Life Into Your Life, a business to empower young people as they take steps to set and achieve personal goals  She provides 1:1 coaching, events and speaking engagements to empower young people to take the next steps into adulthood. Jemia is a self published author of “How To Fit Your Life Into Your Life: A Small Guide To Your Big Life.”
Jemia graduated from Lake Forest College in Illinois, earning a Bachelor’s in Communications before spending the next two years as an AmeriCorps volunteer as a Public Ally in Arizona and then as a tutor outside of Boston. She earned a Master’s degree from Boston College focusing on Executive Leadership and Organizational Development from Boston College.
When she is not running her business, Jemia is an External Affairs professional at a school in Chicago. Jemia also enjoys spending time with her 3 daughters, husband John and their pit bull named Baldwin. Jemia enjoys mimicking baking recipes she’s seen on television and sharing them with her family.
