We know AmeriCorps

Several years after serving in AmeriCorps in 2007, I became a Program Director for one of the largest and longest running AmeriCorps programs in Arizona. I left that role to start Do Good, Be Good. Our team is made up of alumni and former program staff.

I know about MSY and eGrants and member issues and criminal history checks and accompaniment. But more importantly, I know what it feels like to care about your members and your community so much that you cry/scream the lyrics to Fight Song while driving home from a tough meeting with your funding on the line. Okay, maybe that was a little too specific.

The point is, I have experienced the struggles and the joys of building AmeriCorps programs. Everyone on the Do Good, Be Good team gets it. We’re committed to bringing more joy into program support and alleviating some of your struggles so you can get things done for America.

What People Are Saying About
Do Good Be Good

“Life After AmeriCorps in a Box is a fantastic resource that organizes member-focused information, suggests how we can present it, and fills an enormous gap in our ability to adequately prepare our members for life after AmeriCorps.”

Alison Fisher

Program Director, ConnectiCorps

“We pivoted our Start-Up training to an online format & were concerned that we would not get as much out of a virtual training as in-person events. However, our virtual sessions with Do Good, Be Good surpassed all of our expectations. Sharon was engaging, energetic, & organized during both sessions. We heard from many programs that they learned just as much about what makes an engaging virtual session as they did about the actual topics. We could not have asked for a better experience with Do Good, Be Good and will certainly be hiring them for future trainings!”
