I’ve been speaking with a lot of AmeriCorps Program Managers throughout the country. I know this is a busy and often stressful time for you getting new members recruited and onboarded.
We have a resource called the Virtual Orientation in a Box which can be a huge help in planning and leading an engaging orientation. Whether or not you are interested in the Virtual Orientation in a Box, I want to help you out.
So here are a few things that may help:
1) Did you know that in egrants when you are enrolling members you can type in 0000 instead of the 4 digits after the postal code? It will then suggest the correct 4 digits for you instead of you needing to look them up?
2) In Zoom if you go to the top right corner of your video square, a blue button will appear with three right dots and if you click on that you get a drop down menu that includes the option to “Hide Self View”. This will make it so you don’t have to stare at your own image in zoom meetings. Just be wary of that though if you are recording, because you then won’t show up on the recording if you’re the host and the one who clicked record.
3) I’ve recorded tips on member engagement in a YouTube playlist. By the way, if you like what you see in the playlist, this is a window into the type of resources we have in the Virtual Orientation in a Box. The best way to learn more about the VOB is to book a demo with me.
